Ron Bevan, currently an Addictions, Area Manager, takes over from James Smith, who is Diggory Division’s new Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON).

Ron joined the Trust in 2006, working for most of his CNWL career to date in Addiction Services in Ealing and West London.

“This is an incredible opportunity and in my new role I will be flying the flag for addiction nursing and in encouraging people, particularly young people, to consider a role in addiction nursing as there is so much you can get from working in this area.

“I really enjoy working in this field and I want others to feel the same enjoyment. A lot of people we see find their potential thwarted by their difficulties with alcohol or drugs and I enjoy helping people to fulfil their potential by supporting them in their efforts to overcome their drug or alcohol difficulties.

“I’ve seen so many people make the most out of their lives by stopping alcohol or drugs and for me and for colleagues who work in this field that’s the best reward – people changing their lives for the better.”
