CNWL’s Temporary Staffing Team has taken on some new recruits recently who work together each day to identify and attract high calibre temporary workers into work placements in the Trust. They support managers to fill vacancies quickly and deal with everything related to bank staffing and agencies.

Who makes up the team?
The team includes a Head of Temporary Staffing, Temporary Staffing Lead, a Team Leader and Advisers. Most of them are committed bank workers themselves who strive to build up a rapport with the managers, agencies and other bank staff.
What does the team do?
The team provide support to bank staff and liaise with managers and agencies to get urgent vacancies filled. During this process, they help to reduce reliance on agencies and attract more bank workers.
Their tasks involve:
- Assigning a bank worker to a vacant assignment
- Liaising with agencies regarding agency staff
- Holiday requests
- Cancelling shifts
- References for bank workers
- Replacement ID badges for bank workers
- Maternity, Paternity and Adoption Applications for bank workers
- HR support for bank staff
- Supporting managers with sourcing suitable qualified and experienced bank staff
- Dealing with induction for bank staff, which includes an hour of presenting to new starters
