A memorial bench has been placed in the car park at Fairfield House to commemorate the late parents and in laws of CNWL staff member, Zainab Uddin.
Zainab and Mr Uddin recently lost their mothers who were already widowed. Their decision to donate the bench is supported by the Muslim concept of Sadaqah Jariyah which is translates from its original Arabic as "flowing," or "running" (jariyah) "charity" (sadaqah), meaning charity that one gives in life that continues to provide charitable benefit to its designated recipients and, therefore, divine reward to its giver, after its donor passes away from this life.
