NLFC Logo.pngThe North London Forensic Collaborative (NLFC) held its annual event at Holiday Inn Bloomsbury, London on the 30 November.

Forensic mental health services teams across the five NLFC partner Trusts including Barnet, Enfield and Haringey Mental Health NHS Trust, Central North-West London NHS Foundation Trust, East London NHS Foundation Trust, North-East London NHS Foundation Trust, West London NHS Trust, joined together to celebrate their work and achievements over the year.

Staff reflected on the extent of service user involvement and co-production in designing service improvements, the transformation of community services with the introduction of specialist Community Learning Disability Teams and Forensic Learning Disability Teams and the significant level of integration between the provider Trusts.

During the event specialist staff clinical networks including Psychology Leads, Women’s Services, Heads of Nursing, Allied Health Professionals, Learning Disability and Autism services and the Quality Improvement Flow Team presented their work initiatives, plans for service developments and shared best practice and learning.

As the largest specialist mental health collaborative in England, covering a population of six million people across 19 local authorities, five NHS Trusts and one private provider, NLFC demonstrates how a collaborative approach can bring genuine benefits and transformation across a complex health care system.
