Today is Staff Networks Day when we celebrate the individuality that we all bring to work
Staff Networks Day champions the work staff networks do in creating a more inclusive culture in the workplace. This year’s theme is togetherness, highlighting the importance of staff networks working in collaboration.
Today staff from across CNWL came together virtually and were joined by the Trust's Executive Team, to recognise the networks and the incredible value they add.
CNWL is proud to support seven staff networks with over 5,000 members and allies and focus on different initiatives to bring about change in the workplace.
These networks are
- Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Trans+ Network (Pride@CNWL)
- Black, Asian and Ethnic Minority Network(BAME)
- Carers at Work Network
- Lived Experience of Mental Health Issues Stigma Transformation Network (LEMHIST)
- Disabled Employees Network
- Women’s Network
- 50+ group
Each network has an Executive Sponsor, Co-Chairs and sit on our workforce committee.
Charlotte Bailey, CNWL's Chief People Officer, said
"Our networks are an important part of our fabric and form a part of everything we do. They offer a safe space for colleagues to talk about important matters. If you're not already in a network; join one!"
At the event, the Trust celebrated the contribution our networks make, asked questions of the Executive panel and offered insight into the lived experiences of underrepresented colleagues.
You can listen to the annual highlights from each network in the film below and at this link (opens film)
As Staff Networks Day coincides with Mental Health Awareness Week, on Monday CNWL's LEMHIST Network took over the Executive Team Meeting to talk about the work that they do and the anti-stigma campaign they will be launching soon - Stamp out Stigma . You can read more about this meeting here
Staff can find out more about our networks and how to join by typing 'staff networks' into our staff Trustnet.
