CNWL’s Bladder and Bowel Nurse Consultant, Jane Young, has presented at the Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Trust Conference for 2022, with her session: Bowel Management Masterclass. 

Jane's work was also showcased during the poster exhibition. The poster entry, guidelines for integration of the bladder management pathway into the MS care pathway, received a runner-up prize. The poster is available to read here.

It reads:

“The recommendations presented here call for a bladder management pathway to be integrated into the optimum MS care pathway, which should lead the way to more collaboration between MS and continence care services. It is hoped this will help address unwarranted variations in care offered to MS patients with bladder problems.”

The fellow presenters were Joan Bradley, Lead Nurse for Multiple Sclerosis and Rehabilitation, Hillingdon Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and Sue Thomas, Independent Healthcare Consultant Devon.
