In the UK, around 1 in 7 couples may have difficulty conceiving, and estimates suggest that infertility affects millions of people of reproductive age worldwide (World Health Organisation, 2021).

This Year of the Child webinar will touch on the prevalence and types of fertility difficulties, as well as the journey that an individual and their family may face in undergoing both primary and secondary fertility.

The presenters will touch on grief during this period, and signpost to third sector organisations that can offer support. There will also be time for a Q&A with the panel.

This webinar is suitable for healthcare professionals who support or might come into contact with this group of individuals. Staff who may have or have been going through these experiences are welcome to attend, including managers who may be supporting them.

This webinar will be delivered by Dr Sara Szydlowski (Clinical Psychologist, CNWL Maternity Trauma and Loss Care Service), Dr Sarah Finnis (Clinical Psychologist, Obstetrics and Gynaecology Hillingdon Hospital), and Honey Attridge (Peer Support Worker).
