Monday 5 October 2020 saw the opening of ‘Covid-19 The Changes’ Exhibition at Kilburn Library in Queens Park Brent.

Our thanks go to Eric Craig CNWL for coming to cut the ribbon and for supporting the project, Kilburn Library team for their warm welcome and trust in holding the exhibition space for us, to the creative team of Hestia volunteers for their hours of work and commitment to recovery through creativity.  A huge thanks go to the artists themselves for sharing their unique talent, style and window into each and every recovery journey.

This body of work, with the support of CNWL and Brent CCG, has been created from of a series of both on-line and park-based workshops during the pandemic.

Areas of focus for the creative process were centred on transition; coping with change, journeys, gratitude, connecting with both nature and each other for recovery.

Our workshop leaders; Russell and Jo have shared a variety of tools, skills and inspirational leads to help people use creativity to navigate change and to begin to heal. Hestia provided the on-line platform, materials and staff support.

Like physical health, we all have mental health and, at different times in our lives, we are healthier than at others. It is our role as humans to connect, to support, to share and to hold hope for each other.
