One Community Radio got together on Friday to celebrate all the wonderful volunteers that make a huge difference across the Trust.
Volunteer Service Manager Nuria De Miguel, Cate Latto, One Community Lead and Linda Guerrero, Check In and Chat Manager discussed the impact volunteers have made within CNWL.
Christina Santana-Smith, Jameson Business, Strategy & Transformation Manager, Abi Agyemang and Damon Peart discussed their equality diversity and inclusion project. Their project looks at the disproportionate representation of Black/African/Caribbean patients detained under the mental health act and in crisis care pathways. The team held focus groups in March and they talked to patients and carers from a Black/African/Caribbean heritage who had lived experience in mental health care. They talked openly about their own experiences and what they found out through the focus groups.
Also, Damon shared two incredibly powerful poems which he wrote in One Community’s creative writing session called Well Written.
It’s a must-see show - catch up with the show here.
