Health Talk on Diabetes and Long Term conditions
Did you know South Asian people who live in the UK are up to six times more likely to have diabetes than the white population? With diabetes prevalence in England predicted to increase by 47 per cent by 2025, the condition will continue to have a considerable impact on South Asian communities across the UK, including staff at CNWL.
As part of South Asian Heritage Month, the CNWL BAME Staff Network held a special online event; Health Talk on Diabetes and Long Term Conditions.
Co-presenters, Bal Sandhu, Hillingdon Diabetes Service and Jennifer Becker, Community Living Well – Talking Therapies K&C, were joined by over 60 people to learn more and engage with tips and guidance on managing diabetes.
