This week is Dietitians’ Week and CNWL has been celebrating the expertise of our Dietitians and Dietetic Support Workers.
Dietitians in CNWL work across a range of community and mental health services, supporting across the lifespan from infants and children, through adolescence to adulthood and older age. They work in many specialist services, such as diabetes, care home support and CAMHS.
Throughout the Covid response, Dietitians have continued and adapted their essential services and several have been redeployed to work in Covid wards in dietetic and clinical support roles.
This Dietitians’ Week we are delighted to announce the introduction of a Trustwide Head of Profession for Dietitians. This professional leadership role recognises the vital, specialist work of our growing dietetic workforce.
Dr Ryan Kemp, Director of Therapies said: ”What we eat is a crucial aspect of our health. Over the past year we have seen teams of dieticians have joined CNWL from Ealing and Camden, joining our team in Hillingdon and other dieticians around the Trust. We feel it is now right to introduce a professional leader to support these professionals. It is indeed an exciting time for dieticians.”
