CNWL and its mental health social workers are thanked in a Health Education England (HEE) document that has been published recently.

Our social workers in Brent and Harrow are feature in many of the pictures in Guidance on the support of mental health social workers working in NHS, independent or integrated services.

The document is designed to support all agencies that employ social workers.

It has been produced to sit alongside the Local Government Association’s employers’ guidance, and to give detailed advice and support to develop the social work role across all mental health settings and organisations.

Karen Cook, CNWL’s Head of Social Work and Social Care, said: “I am very pleased that CNWL were able to contribute to this important document and the films made by HEE on the role of mental health social workers. Social work is one of the eight key roles in the NHS and this guidance ensures that the NHS has a framework to attract and support social workers.”
