The Carabao Cup Final took place at Wembley Stadium over the weekend (Sunday 25 April), another scientific pilot event which phases the return of fans to stadiums.

The match between Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur saw 8,000 spectators permitted and Samantha Harding, CNWL’s Clinical Educator with our Camden and CIS Integrated Education Team was one of them.

She emailed to say: “My husband and I would like to thank CNWL and the NHS for the amazing opportunity to attend the Carabao Cup Final at the weekend. After working opposite shifts throughout the past year to manage work, childcare and home-schooling, it was so nice to spend some quality time together as part of a crowd where it felt like a touch of normality had resumed.

“As my husband is a devoted Spurs fan, I also managed to credit some essential wife points (although this would probably have been more had the result gone the other way!)”

4,000 tickets were allocated to each finalist club and the remaining were split between NHS staff and Brent residents.
