Yesterday (22 April 2021), we held a celebration for our corporate teams to recognise their contributions to the Covid-19 response.

Corporate teams have done an immense job in supporting our front line staff through effectively managing and delivering back end projects and admin functions with some also being redeployed directly to front line services. Find out more about their achievements in the celebration video below.

Hannah Witty, our Chief Finance Officer opened the celebration saying:

Thank you for what you have done, what you continue to do, what you deliver in corporate services day in and day out for CNWL, our patients and our users. I am deeply proud to be part of this organisation and this team that achieves so much every day. This event is for you, to thank you for everything you have achieved over the past year.

We had keynote inspirational speaker Anthony Bennett who brought to light the importance of working as a team from the perspective of his family life and medical professionals during the time he spent in hospital,  and a message from our Chief Executive Claire Murdoch who said:

Thank you so much to everybody. Maybe like many of you, I am feeling quite emotional reflecting on the year we have lived, the film (above) is absolutely brilliant and sheds light on what happens behind frontline healthcare teams.

I am in awe of what we have achieved. This celebration is a thanksgiving for the tremendous effort towards a common cause. Our corporate colleagues have been directly involved with saving lives, volunteering and managing things like PPE logistics.

Each and every one of you has been part of something phenomenal!

Our Executive Team hosted an awards ceremony to recognise staff who had gone above and beyond the call of duty to represent our Trust values. Nominations were sent in by colleagues and winners chosen by a panel. The winners are as follows:
