A former CNWL staff member has published her third book that will help in keeping children occupied.
Herbie and the T. Rex, by Charlotte Sebag-Montefiore, is an illustrated dinosaur story about friendship that children and adults will both enjoy.
Prior to this, she had published two books of animal riddles in verse, extracts from one of which are attached here.
Charlotte, who worked with CNWL for 10 years in service user involvement under her married name of Charlotte Green, found her creative streak while working part-time before she retired and it developed from there, though admits she doesn’t really know where the inspiration came from.
She says that her interest in dinosaurs springs from what they have in common with us – for some were bipeds, and the fate of all hinged on climate change.
She could now be about to return to work as part of efforts to combat Coronavirus, having been contacted by the Health and Care Professions Council to see if she’d be willing to lend a hand.
“I feel that if there’s anything CNWL wants me to do, I would be happy to make a contribution. I know services are very stretched and I’m worried about the isolation and the economic difficulties that are likely to make things worse for people,” she said.
