- Advice for patients who were in intensive care (ICU)
- How people can help themselves
- Recovering emotionally
- Resources
- Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Psychological therapy, Talking Therapies Speech and Language Therapy
- Relaxation management
- Dietetics
- Returning to work
This leaflet was developed by the CNWL Hillingdon Community Adult Rehabilitation Service with the CNWL Hillingdon MSK Physiotherapy Service and in collaboration with CNWL Talking Therapies Service, Hillingdon.
Although the leaflet was initially developed by the Hillingdon services for their patients, it has now been made available and relevant for all.
Dr Paul Hopper, who is a Medical Director at CNWL and clinical lead for Long Covid work in NWL, said: “This is a great piece of work that anyone struggling to recover from Covid-19 will find immensely useful alongside the help the NHS provides – it gives sound advice on how people can also help themselves deal with this.”

A month ago CNWL announced that two of its physiotherapists had teamed up with the developer of a Long Covid Recovery app in piloting its use within the community setting.
Heidi Ridsdale and Rachel Okin, who work in CNWL’s Long Term Conditions (LTC) Team as Highly Specialist Physiotherapists, have been helping to make the Living With Covid Recovery app work for community services and provided their input clinically around goal-setting and use.
