On Friday One Community Radio is back from our Easter break and we’re beginning our new season with a spring in our step as we talk about all things physical health.
Being physically healthy and active can have a positive impact on our mental health, so we’re highlighting this important relationship by speaking with staff members from the Physical Health Team.
Since October 2020 the Physical Health Team began to bridge the gap between physical and mental health by giving patients who struggle with their mental health the opportunity to have access to more holistic approaches of care to help their recovery. Patients are now able to be referred to dietitians and exercise services.
On the show, Vernanda Julien, Bina Gaijan and Faith Lubimbi from the Physical Health Team will be there to tell us about the Physical Health Service and answer any of your questions. They’ll also be asking the audience what they think about physical health and where patients prefer to get their physical health check-ups, so the team can cater their service to the needs of patients.
The Cove team will also be on Friday’s show discussing how they support patients in times of crisis. The team will discuss how a patient can be referred to The Cove and the unique way they support patients to develop strategies to help them feel better.
As always, our fantastic regular guests will be joining in, Evvy Miller reading Life of Pi and Laura Cavill our Poet Laureate with her own composition.
Please join us for an hour at 1pm on Friday 23 April by typing the meeting ID and password into Zoom, both are below:
