Calls to CNWL’s mental health crisis line unsurprisingly has seen a rise in the help it provides.

The 24 hour Single Point of Access service has seen calls rise from 5,000 a month to around 7,500 a month. Our busiest time is between 10am to 9pm, highest peak time being between 10am-6pm

Selena Cox, the SPA Manager, said, “We can help de-escalate crisis and refer people to our First Response service if people need an urgent face to face assessment. That way we avoid people having to go to A&E – better for people and better for hospitals during this covid crisis.

“We’re helping many people; we can help you.”
