The Inpatient Learning Disability Services at Preston House have been accredited by the Royal College of Psychiatrists’ Quality Network for Inpatient Learning Disability Services Improvement (QNLD).
The accreditation is awarded after a comprehensive review of services, involving self and peer reviews.
“This accreditation is an endorsement of the team’s contribution to the award of Outstanding rating by CQC in August 2017. We are very proud of our highly committed staff team and commend the team as through this award we are assured that the service users and families know that their loved one is receiving the very best care at the Kingswood Centre,” said Jo Carroll, Head of Learning Disability Services.
Preston House is an inpatient unit at the Kingswood Centre specialising in assessing and treating people with learning disabilities who have mental health issues or challenging behaviour.
Ade Odunlade, Divisional Director for Jameson Division commended the staff for making it happen.
“A well-deserved acknowledgement of the dedication and hard work of a highly competent and compassionate staff. A great step in the ambition for excellence in patient care,” he said.
