Dr Caroline Appel, Clinical Lead Physiotherapist for CNWL’s Camden Neurology and Stroke Service has been speaking to Frontline, the magazine for members of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy.

She contributed to an article about long Covid as she is still suffering the effects of Covid almost a year on.

The article refers to her slow recovery and managed return and quotes her message to physios who are managing people with long Covid.

‘Be kind and caring. Really listen to what the patient says. Keep an open mind and be really careful with what treatments you recommend. Be really careful with exercise.  I thought I was going to run it out – but that got me nowhere; that sent me off sick for five months and I’m still recovering.’
