Senior Peer Support Worker and Group Facilitator Ben Parker has written a blog for the Portman Group on Running the Alcohol Recovery Day Programme during the pandemic.

In the blog, which you can read by clicking here, Ben talks about how the pandemic forced the service to think differently in order to continue providing a service using a mix of technology and the Royal Mail initially before the gradual lifting of lockdown allowed more in-person work.

As Ben says: “This hybrid model has enabled us to better cater our support to people’s lives, allowing people to get help how best they choose – either in-person or online – whilst still allowing them to stay connected.”
