Ryan said, “I’m really looking forward to being a part of the post-covid recovery and to get to see and experience the inner workings of the NHS. I’m going to have the opportunity to develop professional connections, bring my learning back to CNWL and hopefully make a difference! It’s been a difficult time in the NHS so I feel very privileged to be a part of the recovery process.”

The NHS Regional Clinical Fellow Scheme gives clinicians the chance to work with NHS regional teams in England where they will gain experience in system leadership, transformation and service improvement.

Clinical Fellows will also lead on key projects that will focus on regional and national priorities including, implementation of the lessons learnt during the Covid-19 pandemic.

The fellowship scheme was open to a wide range of registered healthcare professionals including doctors, nurses, pharmacists, and midwives. Out of 580 applicants, 28 places were awarded and only four were from London.

The fellowship scheme begins this September and more information can be found here.

A huge congratulations Ryan from everyone at CNWL.
