Despite Covid the NHS is open and ARCH - the free and confidential service for young people and adults struggling with addictions – is no exception.
Sue Murphy, the Manager, said, “I wanted to share this lovely message we received today (sent to Katie Cannon, Nursing Team Leader, wo was the keyworker for this person); it’s full of heartfelt appreciation after a long climb together, and one year abstinent. It’s also good for the staff involved to see that too.”
Received from a client (on 26 Jan):
''You are an angel hun I! honestly can’t say how grateful I am for you coming in and helping me save myself with your consistent care, hard work and depth of treatment, and thanks to you I have a new way of life.
“I'm able to live and breathe again. My journey is far from over as I told you on our phone call but thanks to you I now feel I have a purpose.
“You are simply amazing and I will never forget you. Thank you for the referrals and the college course I know they will do me even more justice. I wish you all the best with your future; I know you will excel even more if it's even possible 😊.
“You should be so proud you have helped saved my life; you have a gift. And thank your managers, doctors and nurses too, because they did their bit, so thank you all.😋.''
About Arch
Arch is a free and confidential service for young people and adults who live or are registered with a GP in Hillingdon.
Many people turn to drink or drugs as a way of dealing with negative feelings, such as depression, stress, trauma or anxiety.
We work with people at any stage of their alcohol or drug difficulties to provide a single point of access to assessment and treatment, for problems.
