CNWL held it’s Long Service Awards online this evening; saluting 380 CNWL stars who have been in the NHS since 2000, 1990 and 1980.

The NHS is the people who work in it, 1.4 million people in England - so the history of the NHS is their history – doing whatever needed to be done, come what may – and on average seeing over 40,000 patients in twenty years!

As the NHS reached 52 in millennial year 2000, 282 CNWL stars began their NHS journey.

We’re incredibly grateful to all of these CNWL stars.

“I want to give you my personal thanks for all you have done. You have given over 8,500 years’ service to the NHS!

“The NHS is powered by love, powered by the staff and you have all touched the lives of thousands and thousands of people; improving health outcomes; being with people when they are scared and joyful.  You have all done things that made a difference. I want to thank your families too for lending you, for decades, to the NHS. We will gather together soon I’m sure.”
