CNWL has won the bid to provide Peer Support Worker and Peer Support Worker Supervisor training for the South East and East of England from financial year 25/26 to 27/28.

The programme consists of an accredited Level 4 Peer Support Worker training course (Developing Expertise in Peer Working) and a Peer Support Worker Supervisor module. The courses align with the Health Education England Competence Framework and is delivered remotely.

The Developing Expertise in Peer Working module is designed for individuals with lived experience of overcoming health challenges, equipping learners with therapeutic skills to support recovery and work effectively within multidisciplinary teams. It is suitable for any Peer Support Worker or Peer Trainer working within healthcare (and open to those looking to move into this field).

The Peer Support Worker Supervisor training outlines the different models and core principles of supervision, then develops these themes through the lens of lived experience. This specialist perspective is then explored through practise of lived experience supervision skills. This is a two-part course- part 1 is open to anyone supervising or planning to supervise someone in a Peer role, while part 2 specifically focuses on providing professional peer supervision from a lived experience perspective.
