Help is available to support any trainees who need any additional support during their training career.

Most trainees do need some extra support at some time. This can take one or more of a number of forms including educational, professional, cultural, social, careers advice, health, and/or personal.

Great consultant support and protected teaching time

- GU Medicine Trainee

This can often be delivered within the capacity of our existing structures and roles, such as an extra session of educational supervision. It might also be necessary to arrange additional services or support, such as a consultation from the CNWL Occupational Health Service. We also have access to additional support provided externally by the London Shared Service, such as language support.

If you feel that you might need additional support please speak with your clinical and educational supervisors as early as possible in order to clarify the most appropriate package and pathway of support.

The Trust has recognised and approved careers advisors that trainees can contact to discuss their career options, and access to external confidential counselling services.
