Marie Newman, Senior Lecturer at Buckinghamshire New University and part of CNWL’s Education Team, said:
“I was nominated by Associate Professor, Helen Ayo Deli, at Buckinghamshire University for the Supervisor of the Year Award. When I got the news that I was a nominee I was in shock and at the same time excited to know that someone believed in me, and took the time to nominate me. My managers at CNWL, Helen and Louise, have always been my cheerleaders but to be a finalist is truly an amazing experience. I’m very grateful and will continue to use every opportunity to help others to grow in confidence and competence to build lifelong skills and knowledge to help make a difference in patients' lives.”
Buchi Okonkwo, Student Nursing Associate stationed at Oaktree Ward, said:
“I’m truly honoured and grateful to be nominated for this award. I have dedicated myself to excellence in patient care because I believe that every patient deserves safe, person-centred care. Being short-listed has reinforced my commitment to mentorship and compassionate care.”
Congratulations to our nominees, we are grateful for their hard work and dedication.
