CNWL staff can now join the VP GO challenge this winter to improve your health in ways that work for you!

You will be able to build physical and mental resilience to help avoid those winter illnesses and look after your winter health, and you can do it with your colleagues by your side. It comes with an easy-to- use app, it’s free, and it’s fun!

  • Daily tips to fit wellness into your schedule
  • Personal, guided journeys that let you choose how to get healthier
  • Compete in mini challenges with friends
  • Learn and track healthy habits, then watch your progress in real time
  • See how far you’ve come with two free health assessments

What is the VP GO challenge?

As part of your wellbeing journey, you’ll be embarking on an action-packed activity challenge. Everyone will be on a team, motivating each other to race across the globe, unlocking virtual destinations as you go. How you get active, whether you do yoga at home or cycle around town, is up to you.

Use the activity tracker to track your daily activity, which gets uploaded to the app and website to move your team forwards in the challenge.

Sign in every day to learn about health topics, build healthy habits and try mini challenges. From nutrition, sleep, financial, community, diversity, self-care, condition management, stress and staying active, you can focus on what matters to you.

The challenge is open to all staff employed by CNWL, or those who work in primary care within a London ICS, or work in a social care role linked to a London ICS. When registering, select your employer – primary care and social care are listed as separate categories.

Sign up – the challenge starts 27 October

Join a 9-week activity challenge where you and a team of your co-workers compete with other teams across London NHS to get active and do as many steps as you can each day. Bike, dance, walk, swim, gym, run, yoga, gardening, walking the dog and more. Anytime, anywhere. On your own or with a group. It’s up to you!

Create an account with VP GO – once you sign up, you’ll join a challenge team (or create your own!). Registrations will close on 20 October, so don’t miss out!

What can you accomplish in the next few months over winter? How far can you go?

Support is available this winter

If you are finding things difficult, particularly in the run up to winter, the Keeping Well service is here to support you.

Keeping Well provides a safe space for staff, who may be struggling with the pressures of the Covid-19 pandemic or other stressful or upsetting situations, to talk to trained professionals about their feelings and their wellbeing needs.
