Our new Non Executive Directors (NED), Meena Anand has been named as one of the Women to Watch for 2021 in an annual supplement compiled by Cranfield University’s School of Management.
Meena, who was announced as our new NED in April, said: “It’s an honour and a privilege to be included in the list this year. There are so many women that I admire and respect on previous lists. Being a FTSE 350 NED is definitely on my wish list and I feel very fortunate to get this external recognition. Thank you to the team at Cranfield.”
The entry for Meena says:
“Meena has held senior HR roles in Barclays, UBS and latterly Standard Chartered, based in London, Singapore and UAE, responsible for the Middle East, Africa, Asia and Europe. Most recently, she oversaw the people transformation of a c.30,000 strong shared service centre across 18 locations and four countries. She champions protecting organisations from employee-related risk by strengthening organisation culture and justice framework. An ex-Board member of City HR (HR trade association), she is now a NED at Central & NW London NHS Foundation Trust and Origin Housing, and a Trustee of Community Schools Trust. She serves as Advisor to Human Resources Online, a magazine dedicated to the needs of the Asian HR community and is on the Inspire List (Trustees Unlimited).”
The annual Women to Watch identifies leading female professionals available for and ideally suited to positions on the boards of FTSE 350 companies now or in the near future.
Produced by Cranfield School of Management with the support of its partners and sponsors, the supplement aims to highlight the vast talent pool available, and inspire executive search firms, FTSE Board chairs and other Directors to look at gender diversity in a different way.
