This October, we proudly celebrate Menopause Awareness Month and World Menopause Day on 18 October.
As an accredited Menopause Friendly organisation, we are committed to continuing to make our workplace a place where menopause is understood, supported and openly discussed.
Why menopause awareness matters
Menopause is a life stage that can affect people in different ways, both at home and at work. Symptoms can include hot flushes, disrupted sleep, fatigue, anxiety and brain fog.
Being Menopause Friendly means we recognise the importance of supporting colleagues through this life stage and creating a culture where everyone feels able to thrive.
How we marked Menopause Awareness Month/World Menopause Day
As an accredited Menopause Friendly organisation, we’re continuing our journey of awareness, education and support. In this month, we are:
- Continuing to update our Staff Intranet - CNWL staff can visit the menopause page on Trustnet for a full catalogue of training and resources.
- Highlighting the NHS England training available
Message from our 50+ Staff Network Group & CNWL Women's Network:
"As Co-Chairs of the 50+ Staff Network Group, we're proud to mark Menopause Awareness Month and to reaffirm CNWL’s commitment as a Menopause Friendly Employer.
This recognition reflects our ongoing dedication to placing staff wellbeing at the heart of our workplace culture. We want every colleague going through the menopause transition to know they are supported — through open conversations with their line manager, access to resources, and a work environment that listens and responds.
Creating a space where menopause is talked about openly and without stigma is something we are proud of. Let’s continue working together to build a workplace where everyone feels seen, heard, and supported — at every stage of life.”
