Tom Kibasi, the Chair of Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust (CNWL), Central London Community Healthcare NHS Trust (CLCH) and West London NHS Trust (WLT) will be standing down to take up a newly created position of Executive Director of Strategy at NHS England.
Tom was appointed as joint chair for the three trusts in 2023 having joined the CNWL Board in 2016, chairing the Quality Committee since 2018 and Deputy Chair from 2020. Tom’s career spans the private, public and not-for-profit sectors and until recently worked in biotechnology.
A lot of progress has been made in the last 18 months to establish closer partnership working through the Provider Collaboratives in community and mental health services that involve the three trusts, and the full implementation of a board-in-common that meets three times a year.
Commenting on his change of role, Tom Kibasi said:
“It has been a great honour to chair CNWL, CLCH and West London trusts. Together they have made strong progress on improving the quality and efficiency of services.”
“I have nothing but admiration and respect for our staff who do their best for patients and work tirelessly to improve care. My enormous thanks go to colleagues across all three trusts for all their hard work, help and support over many years.”
The Vice Chairs of each trust will assume the role of chairing the three organisations for an interim period whilst the process to find a replacement Chair is completed. The Vice Chairs for each trust are:
- Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust – Amanda Rowlatt CBE
- Central London Community Healthcare NHS Trust – Dick Sorabji
- West London NHS Trust – Dr Mohini Parmar
