Trans day of remembrance eventNew Unity and Pride@CNWL (the Trust's LGBT+ staff network) held a memorial yesterday to observe Trans Day of Remembrance and acknowledge those who have died by murder or suicide as a result of transphobia. The event included the reading of all the names of trans people who lost their lives to transphobia in the last year. Candles were used for the remembrance and attendees were asked to wear or bring flowers as a sign of a life lived.

People had the opportunity to support the Mermaid and Galop charities who support Trans people. There was also be opportunities to donate to Opening Doors which supports older LGBTQ+ people.
